Resumen

 

La alimentación consciente consiste en prestar atención de forma deliberada al momento presente sin juzgar mientras se come, prestando atención al efecto de la comida en los sentidos. A la fecha, existe solamente un instrumento diseñado para evaluarla en población mexicana. El objetivo fue Adaptar y validar la Mindful Eating Scale en una muestra de población universitaria mexicana. Se realizó la traducción y retrotraducción del instrumento para posteriormente aplicarlo a la muestra empleando un formulario de Google. Se realizó un Análisis Factorial Exploratorio y un Análisis Factorial Confirmatorio. Para determinar la confiabilidad del instrumento final se emplearon los coeficientes α de Cronbach y ω de McDonald. De los análisis resultó un instrumento reducido compuesto por 19 ítems agrupados en cuatro factores que mostraron buenos parámetros de ajuste. La Mindful Eating Scale es una escala confiable para medir la alimentación consciente en población universitaria mexicana.
