Resumen

La Escala de Autocompasión de Estado (SSCS) fue desarrollada para evaluar la autocompasión como un estado mental fluctuante en población adulta, mostrando ser útil en diversos contextos. No obstante, se han reportado inconsistencias en su estructura factorial. Asimismo, el estudio de sus propiedades psicométricas ha sido poco examinado en población adolescente, limitando la evidencia sobre su papel protector contra problemas de la conducta alimentaria. Este estudio evaluó las propiedades psicométricas de la SSCS en adolescentes mexicanos. La muestra comprendió 346 participantes de 14 a 17 años de edad (M = 15.3, DE = 0.72). Fueron estimados y comparados seis modelos de medición, incluyendo su consistencia interna, estabilidad temporal y validez de constructo. Los resultados mostraron que el modelo bifactor presentó la mejor solución. La consistencia interna de tres subescalas fue pobre (α =.57-.62), mientras el valor global fue aceptable (α = .80). La SSCS correlacionó positiva y significativamente con la autoestima (α = .55) y satisfacción con la vida (r = .41) mientras que correlacionó negativamente con el estrés percibido (r = -.60). La SSCS es una medida confiable para medir la autocompasión de manera global, no obstante, se requiere profundizar en los resultados obtenidos en las subescalas.
